This Blog is Suffering. . .

. . . badly and I know it, but it's mine and I love it! We have been so busy at work that by the time I get home and spend quality time with Kayla, it's time for bed and nothing has been done. So, we started a new routine. Well, first, Amanda has been taking Bruce home and staying there, on occasion. This week she stayed there the last three nights. Kayla and I have gotten into a really good routine and it's helping us both (we burn the candle at both ends!) On the scrapping front, I have SO MUCH I want to do, but I just haven't. No excuse. I am participating in Shimelle's art journal class - am waaaayyyy behind and then I signed up for the 21 Day Challenge, haven't produced a thing and Amy Stultz's Box It Up Class ended this week and I haven't done anything.

We will be celebrating Cammi's 4th birthday on Sunday. I can't wait for her to see the American Girl Twins and stroller we got her.

Ben LOVES Winnie the Pooh. Carries the little figurines around everywhere. He and Kaileen stayed over with Kay and I last Saturday night. The girls were SO good.

The cellar is smelling like there is a gas leak. I think and am hoping its just a dryer connection, oh heck, it's not. Maybe the furnace guy didn't tighten something good when he replaced the pump. Jayme put the new bathroom sink in. It looks good! Now I am just waiting for a plumber to come put the new toilet in.

Kayla was upset she didn't make the top 6 to make the math team. We will need to study more. She will be going to Heinz Hall with her class next week to see Cinderella. That means we need a new outfit.

Mom is getting excited about going on the weekend crop April 7, 8, 9. Cathy will be taking Kayla for the weekend, Amanda will have the house to herself.

Jayme has a job interview tomorrow (fingers and toes crossed). Well, I guess that's it for now. I need to go home and throw in a few more loads of wash, pack up for tomorrow's evening crop, finish a layout to upload to a contest tomorrow, seriously think about entering CK's scrapbooker of the year contest and then make 20 LO's, clean off the dining room table, wash and hang curtains in my room and hang Kayla's beads.

Also, it is GORGEOUS outside!!!! Spring has sprung! And I have to remember to turn the clocks forward on Sunday. Ta! Ta! for now.

This is one of my favorite layouts I made for the Blink 3 Bugs in a Rug Contest for March:

This is a layout of Kayla in numerous sleeping positions. This is one of Kayla's Creations:

I absolutely LOVE how she created the title - no help from anyone, nor any suggestions, this is ALL HER OWN.

Busy! Busy! Busy!

So busy! But it feels good! Grandparent's Day at Kayla's school was yesterday. It was very nice and Kayla was so happy I was there. She took me around her classroom and showed me the contents of her desk. She is doing very well in school. Hooray!!!!

Stacey and I are going scrapping again tomorrow, which is good because I have two kit contests I need to complete. Also, want to work on Becky H's next two sketches. And I have two CJ's that I need to complete and get mailed by Monday. A clipboard. Oh, and a DT Call. I almost forgot - start recipe cards for swap. My, my, I had better get a move on.

I saw Two Peas that 20 of the members out of 25 have been contacted by Creating Keepsakes for HOF. That was yesterday, haven't been on yet today. I sure hope that KimberlyG from Blink has been chosen. She is an awesome talent.

The temp was 32 degrees when I left the house early this morning, but no wind so it's rather lovely outside.

On my to do list for the rest of this week: 1) Finish cleaning bedroom; 2) re-pack bag for Friday crop; 3) price compare table and chairs for playroom; 4) finish the 3 LO's from last Friday; and 5) complete all items on the above scrap to-do list!

Okay, now that I completely overwhelmed myself - off to type up 13 Statements of Value for filing with the Recorder of Deeds.

Happy Thursday everyone!!

Celebrate! Ben's First BD Cake

Finally, a LO with Ben's photos. These are of his first birthday. Let's see, the weather here was fantastic this weekend; alot of rain on Sunday but the temps were high. I came to work in 63 degree weather and by the time I get home it should be around 37. Ahh, well, Spring is just around the corner! Next week actually! Stacey and I cropped again on Friday night. So good, as I am getting alot of LO's done and I am really enjoying it. Kayla went to the docs today. Grandparents Day at her school is Wednesday. I am looking forward to that.

Getting Organized in 2006

Like with everything else in my life, I'm behind. One week behind for the Getting Organized in 2006 with HGTV. By e-mail, HGTV sends weekly assignments, so this week (Week 2) I will be getting down to the nitty gritty with Week 1 - the paper chase, clutter, toys, clothes! Unless, one of my kids have taken my many hints to have those two English ladies come clean, I'll be tackling this issue myself. At first, I used to hint they send my name and story to Clean Sweep, but which two rooms would I pick? No, I need the English madames - they actually bring in a cleaning crew. But, I am dreaming. It's Monday - back to work. Dyed the grays last night, our lighting isn't that great and I am going blind, so I'm hoping its not orange as Kayla insinuated.

So last night, I come on-line to e-mail my nephew some family stories when Shimelle send a spark prompt on if you could talk to someone, who would it be. And I'm like, "Wow! It would be my Grandma, I need her to clarify some of the hand-me down stories, cause Mike needs one for a class assignment."

Bruce and Amanda went to the movies yesterday and then they picked up Kayla and I. We headed off to Miracle Mile so I could exchange a shirt at Dress Barn, Kayla could look at the animals at Petland, Bruce could pick up his paycheck, etc. A must needed stop at Starbucks and then we road over to Denny's for dinner. Kayla and I went home to play, bathe/shower, catch Flavor of Love, read, sleep and Amanda stayed with Bruce. Ooh, but when she gets home and sees what Kayla wore to school today - I'll be in trouble!

Checked out the entries in Scrap-A-Latte's March Madness contest - I do not stand a chance, but I love entering contests anyway! Hey, Kayla's Groovy will be in May's Scrapbook Answers - so cool!!!!! Hopefully, its just a start of what's to come this year and next! Okay, I'm dreaming again. Ordered Heidi Swapp's Love Your Handwriting. I have been wanting this for so long and Scrap-A-Latte gave $5.00 GC's for entering the contest (worth it just for that!) so I bought myself the book. Also ordered the Jess Starter Kit and the Bitty Twins Starter Kit for Kayla and Cammi. Now, I just need to find something cool for Ben.

Okay, my work load is growing!

Sunday Morning

It's early, well, not so early now. The sun is streaming through the windows. So lovely, yet so deceiving. It's probably darn cold out there. Just waiting for Kayla to wake up. The cat is up, he needs fed. Time to start our day.

I entered this little gem in a March Madness contest. Actually, I misread the rules and uploaded 3; they were gracious enough to give me another chance. We'll see.

Shopping yesterday was good. It was Mom, Amanda, Kayla and me. We didn't go to many stores. Only HM, Kayla bought a green top, then on to Limited Too where we found lots of items for her but only came away with a sweatsuit, pair of jeans, and tank top. She played in Playland. Then off to Kaliedeiscope. Fabulous doll store. Kayla has been wanting one of those dolls for so long. She has one now. And Amanda got a toe ring there. Lunch at CJ's where Amanda found a hair in her coleslaw. Not good. After leaving Mom at her house, we stopped at the Eagle and then, finally, home. Kayla and I, we love our home. It's big, old, shabby, cluttered . . . it's home.

Going Shopping!

It's early. Just waiting for the kiddees to wake up so we can hit the road. We will be cruising past Mom's to pick her up and then we are going shopping! Pittsburgh Mills here we come! On our list are pants for Kayla that actually fit (won't be easy, we usually end up cutting off six inches); and then to the doll store so Kayla can buy a doll she's been wanting for awhile. Of course, Starbuck's is on the list! Barnes & Noble and Old Navy. Maybe the Eagle too to pick up something easy for dinner. And then I must come home and CLEAN! UGH!

Stacey and I cropped last night. What a joy to have a LSS (not so local really), but at least one fairly close to go to once a week. And the goodies The Memory Page has trickling in from CHA! Last night they had out the new Wild Asparagus. It's gorgeous and they have letters and matching borders and flowers!!! Heaven!!!! I did a layout using Gram's picture and Wild Asparagus. Once I get it scanned, I'll post it here. I'm still in the market for a digital camera - just shopping around for the best bundle price package. I won't be going high tech, cause I don't know what I am doing!

Evaluations were moved to Tuesday. Mine will be good (I have a great crew I work with). And I got my three weeks vacation this year, though we are not going anywhere out of PA. Next year though, watch out Daytona - 2 beautiful weeks!

I feel the need to go wake people up. I know my Mom has probably been up for hours.
