The Baby is in the House!

Here she is. In all her cuteness. She was at the doc's right before this photo was taken. Four shots! Two in each roly poly thigh. But that didn't stop her from being her happy little self. This one smiles all of the time and she has two deep dimples. She is 4 months old and weighs 17 lbs. She is adorable!!

Half day at work today and then off to Kennywood Park for the Heinz Day picnic. My sister and niece work at Heinz. This picnic is always fun and filled with good food and, yes, you guessed it, Heinz Ketchup or Catsup and pickles!

We are gearing up for our trip to NC. I just wish I could figure a way to pack my home pc. Ha! Ha! But I can't imagine a week without being able to check in. Ugh!! I am totally addicted. Our internet usage is being monitored heavily this week as well as last and it's been torture! I really had withdraw symptoms the first few days.

I am so behind in blogging and have so much to journal. But later. I have to work now.

Have a Happy Friday and a great weekend!!

Cover Girl

This pose reminded me of a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Here is my own little cover girl. Another photo taken on her 9th birthday.* Mom got a new pool and she couldn't wait to try it out.

So much going on this month. I have just completed a list of all the contests/challenges. I already missed one deadline, but I was given a reprieve. Thank you! Thank you! THEN, I scrapped a layout last night to upload to a challenge, luckily I re-read the instructions, I got it wrong. Sheesh!!! What is happening to me???????? Well, it's a great LO though. So I'm saving it just in case I can use it somewhere.

Going to see The Gin Game tonight at the Pittsburgh Public Playhouse. Then I need to STAY UP and scrap the appropriate layout following the guidelines this time!

Alright, gotta go. Happy Thursday!!!!

Oh, the pain!

Yes, Kayla wiped out. On Friday evening. We were going to the store and she ran ahead of us and fell. Ooohhh. Gosh, I hate when the kiddies get hurt. Earlier that evening, Kayla and I had gone to Barnes & Noble where she bought Little House on the Prairie. Her report card was excellent and a new book was her reward. Thank goodness she loves to read!!

Saturday was gorgeous. Mom visited in the morning and then Amanda, Kayla and I went to the zoo which was crowded! But they were hosting a Renaissance Day in honor of the Kimodo dragon. There were crafts and troubadours and little shows. At home, Kaileen was visiting next door so the girls played together the rest of the day. Later in the evening, Jerry picked up the girls for a sleepover and they went fishing on Sunday. Kayla caught three fish with her new Shrek fishing rod. I went to church and then scrapped. Made meatballs and sauce for a pasta dinner. As we were getting ready for bed, I videoed Kayla's last evening being 8 years old. Asked her for highlights, favorites and not so favorites. She'll have fun viewing that tape in later years. All in all, it was a fabulous, relaxing weekend!

Frenzied Friday

Here he is, Mr. Cool, himself. We've had Ben twice this week. Love this little guy! He has so much personality. Too funny!

Cropped some photos and laid out a two page scheme last night. Not sure of what papers to use. It's for TTS's 1 st week's challenge. Can't wait to get home and work on it some more. Made a list of all the contest/challenges this month and I hope to have an entry for each one. A few deadlines are around the 15th so I gotta get scrapping. Going to set up Amanda's e-mail address tonight and then get her on a few of the Boards. Hope to get her back into scrapping, too.
Also MUST start laundry tonight and not wait until Sunday evening (slacker!), need to wash the kitchen floor and straighten up the house in anticipation of a little cupcake get together Monday evening for Kayla's 9th birthday. Got notice that the Emily doll we ordered will not be delivered in time. Sure hope the ice cream maker gets here though. She is going to love that! We also got her new shoes and a birthstone necklace, a new outfit she can wear to the Heinz Kennywood Picnic. Today is her last day of school. She only needs to go pick up her report card and she is finished for summer. We are looking into some day camps and hoping Vacation Bible School is not the same week we are in NC.

Well, as all Fridays in the office, it's frenzied and our printer is not working correctly. Of course!

You all have a Happy Frenzied Friday!!

Baby Update

So, Amanda had a doc's appointment. Baby appears to be doing fine. Heartbeat is 150. Kayla got to listen to it. She was so excited. Amanda has placenta previa. So she needs to take it easy.

Tomorrow is K-Bear's last day of school. On Monday she turns 9. OMGosh!

I walked over the the Three Rivers Art Festival at lunch today. It is a fantastic 90 degrees out there. Love it! Love looking at the art. Especially the paper arts. So much talent and patience.

I scrapped again last night. Well, actually I crashed on the couch when I got home, woke up around 2:00 a.m. to find Kayla curled up against me and realized I wasn't too tired anymore, so I scrapped a LO, love it, and just need to add a few more details. That's three this week. Still need to work on challenges and contests, but I'll keep stockpiling for now and hope one meets the criteria. I realize that I am not good with specific challenges and deadlines. Gotta work on that!

Love all the new product coming my way! I joined two kit clubs and one that is embellishments only. So much goodness in my mail each month!

Gotta work. Happy Thursday!

A Quickie . . .

. . . Blog Entry that is. So many contests and challenges this month! So many deadlines! I want to do them all!!! So, starting this past Sunday, I have resolved to do something scrappy each night. Of course this can only happen after I have spent good quality time with Kayla. Last evening we went to the Green Street park and played on the swings. Then I came home and scrapped a second layout. Two in a row so far. In addition, Amanda and I have resolved to walk at least the one mile tape every night. That's two nights in a row. We need this discipline in our lives and also some control and structure. Kayla, the wild one, needs it, too.

We had Ben for a few hours last night. He is such an awesome little fellow. I can understand him more now, but when he goes off in a tyrant, whew, there's no guessing what he's saying.

After a few wonderful HOT days, it's cool and wet here. Not complaining! I am loving the mixture.

Happy Tuesday!
