Busy, busy few days, but it's Friday!!

This dress is my absolute favorite that I bought this summer from DB.  Absolute favorite.  I have even gotten compliments from strangers on the street.  This dress is great for the office and a night on the town.  I wore it this week to dinner at Ruth Chris Steakhouse.

As it's Friday (hooray), what are your plans for the weekend?  I am having that Brazilian Blowout treatment done to my hair. Going to breakfast with my Mom and niece. Stopping at Keystone to pick more cans of black spray paint so I can continue transforming my wicker.  Definitely stopping at Dress Barn to see what's new. Also, the boys have a softball game, it is playoff time.

It's Wednesday a/k/a Hump Day a/k/a the Middle of the Week

Tonight is Top Chef.  I am so looking forward to it.  This is another series that I enjoy immensely.  Last night was Rescue Me and it was not a disappointment.  It was laugh out loud funny! Tomorrow my third favorite program will be on and then I have nothing until Sunday evening.

It is 82 degrees here today.  I will be leaving the office to take a walk shortly.  It has been so lovely here.

Have you tried Weight Watchers Smart Ones cheeseburgers? YUMMY!  You can get a coupon at their website.

Today's dress is my "referee dress."  It's cute and comfortable. And you will find it at DB.

Rescue Me

Ahhh, Rescue Me.  It is on tonight.  This show is absolutely one of my favorites.  I also enjoy Project Runway.  Mad Men I watch mostly for the clothes and decor.  Oh, and Drop Dead Diva, I like that show, too.  That pretty much sums it up except for my most guiltiest pleasure and that's the MTV Road Rules/Real World challenges.  Okay, on to today's outfit.  This is an oldie but goodie.  Well, maybe three years old, but that's the beauty of shopping at DB.  Quality clothes that last for seasons and for me, are often in style. I am giving two views, one to see the whole outfit, the other to show the cute buckle, well, I attempted to show the buckle but it's a little dark.  Sadly, the ladies' room has the best lighting, as well as the full length mirror.

On to other things.  It is gorgeous outside today.  Blue skies, 81 degrees.  I just love it!!! I did leave the office to take a walk and I did go tanning at my favorite salon.  Friday, I am having a Brazilian Straightening Treatment done.  I can't wait to see the results!!!  I found some before/after pics at this site. I'll post my own before/afters next Monday.

Weekend Recap

First, the weekend was wonderful! It was.  I started off Saturday by going to the gym and walking 6 miles on the treadmill.  It was a very hot day, so I spent most of my time indoors in front of a fan catching up with Top Chef, one of my favorites.  I also began spray painting a few of my white wicker pieces a glossy black which I will photograph and upload at a later date.  My bedroom has been painted white.  I will begin getting the floor ready for Rob to paint a shiny black.  Mom came in Saturday night and we had a nice chat.

Sunday, Mom, Melissa and I rode out to IKEA. I bought a vase and black sand, and black sheets and will be going back for a ceiling fixture and lamps. The remainder of the items purchased are below.  Later that day I drove out to Braddock Field to watch the boys' softball game.  They won! 14-13.  It was a good game!

White Lace and Promises

Jim asked me to join him and Erin in attending the Grant Prix Tune Up which was being sponsored by Metz Lewis and held at Bossa Nova. The cocktails were three variations, all using Grey Goose (what else?).  Yummy.  I think my favorite was the pear flavored vodka with pineapple juice.  Johnny B and the Accelerators performed.  I happen to work with Johnny B, he is extremely talented.  I watch him race every year at Race Week in Schenley Park. Race weekend is July 24 & 25.  It's a load of fun!
