Rain Delay

No rain here, however, due to an extremely long workday (think oh, say about, 13 hours), a family friend being submitted to the hospital, and a few other unscheduled set backs events, I am behind...in everything!  Laundry now under control and some dusting done. Planning a big weekend - hanging with Kayla (think drive-in), lots of shopping (grocery and fun stuff, too) and pictures, lots!  Will get back in the groove later.  In the meantime, it's back to the trenches.
Have a great day!!

WITL - Day 3

Uneventful.  And in these present times, that's a good thing!  I was thankful for Ali's post today on repetition.  My photos, if you glance through my blog, are pretty much of the same people/places/things.  I worry about being overly boring, but all of this is what makes up my life (and I think that's pretty perfect).
6:00 a.m. No snooze button today, I need to drop my son off at his job. Time to get dressed!
Forgot these yesterday and had to wear tennies all day.
I water the plants before I head on out the door
7:00 a.m. Arrive in town early. Park at Station Square. Walk 1 mile to the office.
7:30 a.m. At the office. Begin the day.

8:30 a.m. Today is Administrative Assistant's Day.  The firm is providing breakfast for us. (This is a most awesome place to work!)  Breakfast is delicious and appreciated.
Eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, toast, juice, YUM!
9:00 a.m. Work on timesheets, filing.
11:00 a.m. Paint swatches = projects
Noon: Skipping lunch (planning a yummy dinner), want to make a dent in these file piles.
1:00 p.m. Work. Work. Work.
6:00 p.m. Much better (see prior day(s)). Time to wrap it up and head for home.
Really, this is much better!
Time to walk a mile.  See these high-rises? I would LOVE to live here!!
On the Bridge
Past the tracks, back to Station Square
7:00 p.m Arrive home.  Put dinner in the oven (stuffed shells). Eat.
8:00 p.m. Watch t.v.
9:00 p.m. Dust vanity.
9:30 p.m. Go over today's list, make list for tomorrow. Lay out clothes. Read a little.

WITL - Day 2

Tuesday was a good day, except for when the camera battery needed recharged and I did not get any photos of the grandkiddies who greeted me at the door or, later, my guest. Ah well.  Most of the photos for today depict my travel to and from work.
5:45 a.m. Although the alarm went off at this time, I think I hit the snooze button for an hour.
7:00 a.m. Out the door, drive to town.
Cold this morning, but the sun is shining. So not what the NWS was predicting for today.
8:00 a.m. Parked at Station Square today. It's a 1 mile walk to the office.
 Walk with me.
Across the Smithfield Street Bridge
9:00 a.m. Talk to Mom. File an Answer with Court.
10:00 a.m. Finalize and post mass mailing.
11:00 a.m. Time for tea and a bagel with cream cheese.
Noon: Complete revisions to Complaint, check mail, take a walk around the office to get the blood moving, grab a Coke, back to work.
Views from one of the conference rooms.  Lovely, isn't it?

1:00 p.m. Work. Work. Work.
6:00 p.m. Working late tonight.
7:00 p.m. Wrapping it up. So much to do, not enough hours in the day.
Leaving the building
Walking down First Avenue
Back across the Bridge
Lovely view
Pay lot attendant and we are homeward bound.
8:00 p.m. Home. Greeted by Cammi. Son made dinner (hooray).  Girls leave.
8:30 p.m. Entertain guests.
I'm done. Goodnight all!

As for today, Wednesday, it's Happy Admin Day.  Enjoy!!

WITL - Day 1

I will try not to overwhelm you with too much excitement for our first day...Seriously though, I rather enjoyed the process of keeping track of my movements, taking photos of items I see and use everyday. Each weekday is pretty much typical of the other. The weekends are busier and more exciting (sometimes.)  I realized that unless I'm doing something special with the kiddies, I really do not take many photos.  I will be working on that. Anyway, here is a look at Day 1:

7:00 a.m. Ready to walk out the door
Brrr, it's gonna be a cold one
Out the front door, it's wet and raining
Let's Go, Speed Racer!
8:00 a.m. Super cold days, snow days and Mondays, I park at the Wharf
The Wharf has a fabulous view of Station Square and the Gateway Clipper Fleet
Go towards the light.  My building is on the left.

Here's a real treat - my desk.
Pretty bad, huh?  When someone begins the process of cleaning their office, guess where it  all ends up???
Gotta keep truckin'
3:00 p.m. Snack time
4:15 p.m. Quitting time! On the elevator, going down
Documenting my Day
5:00 p.m. Pick up son and take him to his class.
8:00 p.m. Home! Sweet Home!  It's late, so I just eat a bowl of cereal.
9:00 p.m. Burlesque - the movie is on. Love it!
11:00 p.m. Shower, blow dry hair. Put out clothes for tomorrow.
Midnight: Sleep.

Well, almost. In about four hours.  Here's a semi-list for the weekend:
  • Grocery shopping
  • Bridal shower
  • Laundry
  • Hook up new PC
  • Sync new iphone

Uh, that's as far as I've gotten.  Lots of possibilities though.
Kayla's Spring Concert was Wednesday and I am just getting around to uploading the photos now.

Busy Day + WW, Part 4 - The Reception

Picked K up last night for a sleepover cause we both had dentist appointments this morning which we passed with flying colors!! Then we stopped at AT&T to see about getting her phone fixed. The faces of the attendants when they saw the damaged phone was priceless (the deductible was not).  Then I drove her back to school and myself to the office. Tonight K has her Spring Concert, my new PC was delivered to the house today and I have a laundry list of things that I need to do before visiting Slumberland.  Ahhh, but life is good!!!!
I wanted to post some of some photos from Jayme and Tina's wedding reception. Most of mine turned out rather dark (I really have to read those camera instructions!).

Good Morning Monday! and WW, Part 3 - The Church

What a beautiful start to this week! It is gorgeous out. The temps are already in the high 60's and climbing. The weekend was lovely, busy and I made it through despite suffering sinusitis. Blah!  This week will be a busy one, what with dentist appointments and a bridal shower. Planning the garden and catching up on housework.
Back to the Wedding. It was lovely.

Tooth Time - K and I both have dental appointments this week.  Today's tear file article is most appropriate.

For the Tear File: Breath Fresheners: 1. Water - Bacteria's sworn enemy is oxygen, which is found in your own saliva. Drink water to produce more saliva. 2. Vegetables - Fibrous veggies, like celery and cukes, boost saliva. Crunchy veggies help remove plaque on teeth. 3. Green tea - straight, no sugar, no milk. Green tea temporarily decreases sulfur compounds in the mouth. 4. Tea-Tree Oil - put a few drops on toothbrush, brush back of tongue and along gumline, spit out excess. The oil will kill odor-generating bacteria. 5. Sugar-free gum - saliva.  6. Mouthwash.  (Content found in the May 2011 issue of Real Simple)
