MARCH │ CURRENTLY

March, the month of color, when, after the gray, blustery winter season the earth opens and shoots of green burst forth from the ground with the promise of Spring.  A highlight of February was Punxsutawney Phil not seeing his shadow forecasting an early spring.  Today the temperatures will reach 60, tomorrow 40.  It’s a weather seesaw we are currently on, oh, but Spring hopes eternal... .
March will be a busy, busy month.  We are currently observing Lent, Daylight Savings Time begins March 13th, St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th (here in Pittsburgh, the annual St. Paddy’s Day parade will be Saturday, March 12th) the first day of Spring will begin at 6:29 a.m. (EDT) on March 20th., Good Friday is March 25 and Easter is March 27th.
This month I will be travelling to New York City (hooray) and doing a bit of shopping, Amanda will hopefully be staying the weekend of March 12th, and we will be making wreaths, and the kiddies will be creating their own artwork for hanging in their rooms.  (Pat Catan’s Arts & Craft store had a fabulous sale on canvases and Crayola (washable!) paints and brushes).  I plan on roasting a stuffed chicken and making Pot O’ Gold Peanut Butter Ritz Crackers (YUM!).  It’s a weekend I am looking forward to.
I just downloaded “The Girl on the Train,” by Paula Hawkins to my Nook.  I am saving it for the ride to NYC.
I just binged watched “When Calls the Heart” on Netflix and am watching the third season each Sunday.  Still a fan of “The Outsiders” on WGN.
Elliot’s new favorite treat are Hershey’s Kisses; he still loves his trains, but has taken a renewed interest in playing with his Mater and Lightening McQueen toys (we just bought Frank, the Combine Tractor).
Kayla’s passion is cosmetics and she just added a few new lipsticks and foundations to the ever growing collection.  I tease her that we will need to buy a Craftsman 11 Drawer Cabinet to house it all.  She’s learning how to safely and responsibly use a credit card and she will definitely be working on getting her driver’s license this year.
And that’s what is currently happening here.
What’s your March looking like?
Luck & Blessings,

Trish
