Five for Friday and Highlights of Our Week

This past week the afternoons were HOT and the evenings were cooler and RAINY!  Oh, wait the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival begins today.  Hence, the RAIN!  If you are going to the Festival, here is a handy daily schedule. But I digress, back to the highlights of our week.
Amanda kept Elliot Friday and took the boys to the park.
Too hot for clothes.
Elliot showed us his "mean" face,
and his happy face.
Silliness at the ER (for K, she's fine).

We had porch picnics, mowed the lawn, put up a temporary pool, played in the sandbox, shopped Trader Joe's, Sam's Club and 380 auction, Lunched at Dairy Queen.  Elliot got a new pair of shoes, clothes and, of course, toys.  K got two new dresses and a nightie.  I got new sandals, a shirt and a nightie.  AND we bought a pool - not too big, but one with a filter that won't need dumped every other day.  We are ready for SUMMER!
And yet there's so much more to do...

Enjoying every minute - intentionally!

Trish

Looking Forward To... and a Hall Tour

... this weekend, I am looking forward to just hanging around the house, doing some yard work, continuing the "spring cleaning" and decorating for the warmer months.
This is our entryway.

We washed down the walls, swept, and dusted. We are decorating with an Americana theme.
I'm so into red, white and blue this season and I love how this area looks.
We are also enjoying fresh fruits, salads, porch picnics (when its NOT raining) and making our yard a child's paradise (we just bought a decent size pool!).
I don't think we bought anything new as decorations.  We are good at "shopping" in other rooms and re-purposing items throughout the house.
The front door needs painted.
So many shadows.
That's the entrance.  Too many times, there are piles of laundry waiting to go down to the basement, cartons of pop and water and SHOES! OMGOSH the SHOES!  But right now, it's lovely.

What are you looking forward to this coming weekend?

Have a good Thursday!

Trish

Welcome June!

Wow!  May was a whirlwind!  Office work took up most of the month with one attorney leaving, and my filling in for an assistant on maternity leave.  I put in my share of overtime.  Hopefully, June will be a little more slow paced.
I had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  I even took an extra day off (sort of a mini staycay).  Cut the grass, filled a pool for the little one, bought new sand for his sandbox, had porch picnics with Mom and kiddies, walked, shopped, ate, taxied.  The weather was hot during the day, cooled off by rain showers in the evenings.  K and I settled in with Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2 (watched over a period of 2 days and after E was asleep).
I'm ready to do it again.
Hope your weekend was lovely!!!!
