FRIDAYS IN OCTOBER – IT’S TRADITION!

We adore theme books.  Especially Holiday themed books.  In getting into the Holiday spirit, we’ve dubbed Friday nights for a treat and a Halloween Story.  To prepare, go through your children’s library and gather all Halloween themed books into a basket.

Make a snack (preferably with your little one), and settle down for a story and a treat.

Tonight we will be making Rice Krispies treats (served with a dollop of Nutella) and reading The Spooky Express Pittsburgh by Eric James for some CHILLING good fun!

What are your favorite Halloween traditions??

  1. So, I am guessing you own a lot of stock in Nutella :-) .

I love the idea of theme Binge reading!

    1. Ha! Ha! Ha!. I did laugh out loud. No stock, but lots of jars of Nutella. It's a favorite.

  2. We have the grandboy every Friday for the day, and I try to do special things with him. What a great idea - to make a "theme"... each month something different. Thank you for sharing!

  3. Nutella- I feel everything I found in Europe followed me over to the states.......anyway, have you kids read to the dog- or maybe its time to adopt a dog to help your kids read better than everyone in class! LOL!

    1. For now we have two kittens which my granddaughter brought home one day. I am sure a dog is in our future, for two reasons: 1. protection, and 2. Elliot and Amelia love dogs.
